Rockets cut off Gray to 17

According to the Houston Chronicle, the Houston Rockets announced today that they have cut point guard Rob Gray, and their lineup has now shrunk to 17 players. Rocket's other point guard, Michael Carter-Williams, said he believes he can play in the preseason with the Shanghai men's basketball team on Wednesday.

Gray, 24, from Houston University, played only two preseason games for the Rockets. He played 6 minutes in total, missed a shot, scored, and scored 1 rebound, 1 assist, 1 foul and 2 Second mistake.

Gray is 1.85 meters tall and weighs 84 kilograms. As the winner of this year's selection, he is one of the top scorers in the United States. He averaged 20.6 points per game during his junior season. In his senior season, Gray averaged 19.3 points, 3.7 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game, helping Houston University score the first NCAA tournament since 2010.

Gray also represented the Rockets in this summer's league, but it is clear that his performance in the training camp and preseason did not impress the Rockets management. After being laid off by the Rockets, Gray can choose to join the Rockets' League of Development team's Rio Grande Valley Viper.

In fact, the Rockets cut Gray is expected, after all, in the position of the point guard, they have Chris Paul, Brandon Knight and McAway, and James Harden can also be a point guard.

McAway missed the preseason with the Spurs yesterday because of a sore knee, but he believes he can play against the Shanghai men's basketball team on Wednesday. "I'm just a little swollen, but I'm fine." McAway said, "This is just a pre-season schedule. It's good for me. The preseason is good, I will return to the preseason."

McAway has performed well in the first two preseason games. He averaged 17 points, 4 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game in 25 minutes per game and shot 66.7% from the field.
